Our Interests
We always make time to enjoy the things we love. Every day we play tug with Grover and Jersey and share the events of our day with each other. On weekends, we enjoy tennis, having dinner with friends, or stargazing on the back deck. We’ve begun looking for toy golf clubs so our child can play with Michael and Grandpa Gonyea. On rainy days, we can be found inside playing games with family and friends, working on a sewing project or relaxing with one of our favorite pastimes, watching movies cuddled in the big comfy ‘movie’ chair.
Aside from spending time with family and friends at home, we love to travel! We have a special world map on the wall where we mark the places we have gone together and the places we plan to go as a family. Whether it is a short day trip to a museum, botanical garden or historical site, or an extended trip overseas, we love to experience new places and meet interesting people. We have taken several ‘beach’ trips with friends, have wandered through ancient towns in Greece, explored caverns in the Blue Ridge mountains, and are planning a multi-day bike trip in the Midwest. We have taken frequent day trips like white-water rafting in Tennessee, and plan to share the Georgia Aquarium and ZooAtlanta with our child. We would love to discover Georgia’s history as a family by roaming old plantations and state parks. The best way to learn about the world is to experience it and we are looking forward to showing our child what the world has to offer.
